Raves & Reviews
I was a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding in 2013 and my friend had chosen April G Photography to document her special day. I noticed that April ran a tight ship and her organizational skills really seemed to help keep the wedding on track – something that every bride should appreciate! When my friend’s pictures came back they were absolutely beautiful. And I mean Jaw dropping beautiful! I knew that I needed her to do my upcoming wedding too.
When I started my own wedding planning, I did look around for other photographers at first. But It wasn’t long that I realized that with every picture I viewed, I couldn’t shake the feeling that “April could do this better” and I knew that my mind was already made up. I contacted her right away and scheduled a meeting to discuss our needs.
Our first photo session was our engagement pictures. We had so much fun doing these pictures in a relaxed environment and April was very accommodating to special requests whenever possible (like including our three crazy dogs in our pictures!) and she was even willing to give me advice on what to wear. She had a way of making us very comfortable but also showcased our excitement for our engagement at the same time.
Wedding time rolled around and I was so relieved to have April there. As a bride, I was completely overwhelmed and when things started running a bit behind schedule I started to panic. April however, stepped up and started getting the bridal party organized and she sped through our family pictures and was able to make up all of the time that we fell behind and then some (so I had a minute to BREATHE!). It is without a doubt that had she not been there, I would have been late to my own wedding! When I got my pictures back I was moved to tears. The way she captured some of the most special moments of the day was just beautiful.
Since the wedding, I’ve also had some family pictures done with April as well as a boudoir session (as a gift for new hubby!). As different as all of these sessions were, two things remained the same: 1. April was easy to work with and made all of her “subjects” comfortable in the most stressful and/or awkward times and 2. She is incredible at what she does and the end result was nothing short of amazing.
The only thing I wish she would do differently is that April G Photography should come with a warning label – informing people that she is completely addicting!
